i came across this blog which is about all the simple things in life. i love it. you all need to follow - it will brighten your day with the simplicity and reassurance that it's not just YOU that finds these things so perfect. i'm excited for a great weekend in atlanta with some special people, so these fit my mood. :)

more than interiors...

this whole semester i have been doing SO good at restraining my shopping addiction - for all things - clothing, accessories & home goods. i don't need it. but today i went to that one site i should be forbidden to go to: jcrew. i have a whole list of items i want & need, and i am trying to rationalize with myself on whether i want them, or whether i need them. most i need. because after all, a good interior designer must dress herself before she can dress a home.

i have found my new addiction. blurb.com it is a wonderful website dedicated towards making your own projects. what a wonderful wedding gift, valentines present or christmas surprise! 

when i saw this site i instantly thought of one of my best friends, tucci. she LOVES to cook (follow her blog here) and literally has a million recipes between herself, her mom and the food network. she could use blurb to make herself a professionally designed cook book! 

i have a few projects up my sleeve that i am going to start.... a few involve my dear friends, and another involves making a portfolio of all my work thus far. ideas ideas!!

here's what you do:

1. go to www.blurb.com

2. choose which option you would like (whether you want just a photobook, a book with text, or if you are making a portfolio, use the program that collaborates with indesign.

3. choose which size BOOK you want to use: small book starts at $12.95!

 4. chose you're "style" depending on which selection you previously made. the picture below shows a photobook.

5. begin uploading and in a few days, voila! you'll have your custom & professionally made book :)
