fill in the blank ....saturday?

i'm a little behind... visiting bryce this weekend so i've been pre-occupied!!

1.   Something that makes me a great friend is,  i try to be a good listener.

2.  I am  a dog lover, people person, happy-go-lucky and go with the flow... most of the time :) 

3.  I am not a non-worrier.... one of my BIGGEST flaws. i over-analyze everything and worry 24/7. wish i could get rid of that :/

4.  If I had to describe myself in 3 words, they would be accommodating {totally stole this word but it is so true...} loving & happy.

5.  Something I'm really cheap about is  JUNK. i hate a cluttered junky room.... i throw away random stuff all the time because i love to have a clean space.

6.  Something I'm willing to splurge on is  CLOTHES. or art..... or something for my animal. or a plane ticket........

7.  I would trade    every weekend at auburn      for     weekends with all my friends and family in one place   in a heartbeat.

my pup woke me up at the wonderful hour of six this morning, wanting to play, potty & eat... she had so much energy that i fought through the sleepy groggy feelings of wanting to just curl up in my bed and ignore her whining. we went outside, ate & played and by 6:45, baby pate was passed out with her bone next to her... and i am well onto my 2nd cup of joe.

i would put this shelf in my bathroom {at my new house, of course} to store my makeup brushes, perfume, lotion etc., and wallpaper the inside with a funky modern print in order to jazz it up.

april fools!

april fools!!!

so i pranked TWO people - bryce & my parents. here's how it went down....

for BRYCE i texted him telling him to call me, i had something to tell him. he called me and was asking me what was wrong and i told him i decided i didn't want to move to washington d.c., that instead i wanted to go pursue this internship in london and that i wasn't going to be able to see him before i moved. he acted sweet about it at first, and then was speechless... and then i couldn't hold it anymore because i felt so bad so i screamed april fool's! needless to say, bryce and i will never be celebrating april fools day together in the future.

for my PARENTS i called my dad and told him that we needed to talk. i told him i was being evicted from my apartment because people complained about me having a dog and there is a no-animal policy in our apartment - i had called the movers and was moving in with my roommates for next year for the time being. i kept my dad going on this for 5 minutes... i must say - he was SO CALM, but i could tell he was fuming. finally i screamed april fool's and you could tell he was so relieved.

i can't fool anymore people because it's kind of mean :/ but know i love you all and i didn't mean it... it's a harmless prank!

my weekend fab find is already here. too soon? too bad.

my new love is etsy. it is an e-commerce website focusing on handmade or vintage items. you can be a vendor OR a buyer. it is so fun - go check out the site to see why i'm so hooked.


today i don't feel well, so i was snooping around etsy and came upon this brilliant artist - "nay arts" from las vegas, nevada. he does original paintings and i am in LOVE with them. i'm trying to figure out which painting i want to purchase, but haven't figured it out so far... which one do you like the best?

all of these paintings are $50 which is SUCH A STEAL. i need one for my new room in my new house ...... i'm liking the idea of "pull yourself together" :)

it is fill in the blank friday! it is also april fool's day. i'm trying to plan out my fab april fool's day pranks... so come back and read more tomorrow on what i've done :)

1.   The best prank I ever pulled was   when i called my dad in high school and told him that my brother and i got into a car wreck going to ski practice. when he got really worried and started to panic, i realized that wasn't so nice so i quickly told him it was a joke. i don't think he really laughed......

2.  The best prank ever pulled on me was  when my friend katey and haley {from my interior design studio} told me they saw big foot when we were doing a habitat project in the middle of nowhere-alabama. i totally believed them for a solid 6 months. i also told everyone in my studio that they had seen big foot and that he emerged from the woods without any clothes just a loin cloth..... it was so stupid. why did i believe that?

3.  A day without   good snuggles on the couch with pate  is a day wasted.

4.  The most important things in life are   the people you love. {i realize i stole this from the girl who creates this... but it rings so true}.

5.  I dream of    get ready for this list - GRADUATING, this summer {because it is going to be the best summer ever i can't even wait}, having a puppy rescue, backpacking through europe {and other extremely exotic places}, owning my own design firm, running a marathon, my future.

6.  I dread  getting SICK, leaving bryce after a good weekend together, giving presentations, getting on the scale after a weekend of partying and eating crap :/

7.  A discovery I made this week was i love my studio & the girls that are in it more and more each day. without them, i honestly wouldn't be able to make it through the battle of an education in interior design.
